Hey Farmers, Let's Have a Party!

Let's Celebrate Our Growing Community of New Farmers!

Did you know that east central Ontario now has three (count 'em!), three post-secondary agricultural programs, all within an hour of each other? This means that, when combined with all the full-season jobs and internships that are offered around here, dozens of new and aspiring farmers are choosing to learn to farm in east central Ontario every year!

Farms at Work wants to celebrate our growing agricultural communities, so we're throwing a party!

Join us on Saturday February 8th at The Trend (Traill Campus, Trent University - 310 London Street, in Peterborough) for our first ever...

New Farmer Mixer!

There'll be live music and dancing, courtesy of farm bands Trylls (boot-stompin' folk songs) and The Sandy Pockets (hip-shakin' rockabilly), snacks à la BE Catering, and loads of opportunity to connect with new farmers from across the region!

Whether you've been farming for 1 or 10 (or more!) years, if you want to welcome new farmers to the community, or if you've never farmed a day in your life but are interested in learning more about it, you're invited to join in on the fun!

Doors open at 8pm, music at 9pm.
$5 / Pay What You Can.

There's no need to register for this one, but to help us plan for numbers, you can respond on our Facebook Event Page
