New Farmer Mixer

Saturday, February 8, 2014 - 8:00am to Sunday, February 9, 2014 - 11:55am

East Central Ontario New Farmer Mixer

Did you know that there are three post-secondary agriculture programs (Trent University, Fleming College and Durham College) within an hour of each other in our region?
Combined with CRAFT Network hosts and independant farms that offer full-season internships and employment, this means that east central Ontario is home to dozens of new and aspiring farmers! How great is that??
Part of our mandate here at Farms at Work is to develop strong ties throughout the agricultural sector in our region, and what better way to forge connections among our new farmers than to have a party??

Saturday February 8th @ The Trend

Join us for a night of music, dancing, food and community as we celebrate the new farmers of east central Ontario. All are welcome to attend!

Live Music

Trylls are a new farm-y folk project out of Peterborough that'll get your feet stompin' and hands clappin'.

The Sandy Pockets are a band of rag-tag farm-y types that clean up pretty well for a show. They play a distinct blend of old-timey jazz and rockabilly, and they know how to get people dancing.

$5 / Pay what you can at the door. Snacks will be provided by Farms at Work, and an assortment of beverages will be available at the bar.
