Local Food Month 2016

September 2016 | Peterborough City and County

Are you a producer of “local food”?

September 2016 marks the second year of Local Food Month in The City and County of Peterborough, and this year there will be even more opportunities for the community to engage with local producers!

This year’s festivities will include a series of “Open Farm” tours intended to provide a peek behind the scenes of local farms for the public. Farms can also take a booth at the Purple Onion Festival scheduled for Sunday September 25, or advertise to the public in the Local Food Month Guide. If you’d like to take advantage of these marketing opportunities, please let us know by emailing info@farmsatwork.ca. There are opportunities for producers outside of Peterborough County to get involved - just let us know if you're interested!
